How to use Video in Brivo Access

Overview

The video page includes the ability to view live video, recorded video, and create custom layouts directly in Brivo Access.

Prerequisites

Integration with Eagle Eye or OpenEye

  1. On the left navigation bar, select Video and then navigate to Video Management.
  2. Select the layouts drop down in the top left of the page and select Create New Layout.
  3. Enter the Layout Name, select all or select the specific cameras you want on the layout.
  4. Select the desired grid, 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4.
  5. Select the layout to be Private (visible to you only) or Public (visible to all Administrators).
  6. Select Create Layout and the layout is created.
  7. To edit or delete the cameras, change the name of your layout, or grid, click the Edit Layout button. To rearrange the layout of the current cameras, simply grab the camera in the top right corner and drag to where you want it then select Save.
  8. Doors can be unlocked by selecting the Door Lock icon in Live View or Live HD View.
  9. Select any camera feed to view it in Live HD View.

Using the Global Site Filter

  1. Select the Global Site Filter drop down at the top right of the page.
  2. Select the site or multiple sites you want to view. 
  3. Only those sites will be displayed on the page.

NOTE: Cameras can be assigned to sites, renamed and associated with doors on the Video Configuration page.

Viewing Recorded Video

  1. From the left navigation bar, click on Video and then Video Management.
  2. Click on the desired camera to view recorded video.
  3. Select the desired date range at the top left of the window.
  4. Select the one of the time window options (8 hours, 2 hours, 10 minutes, or 5 minutes) to narrow the time range.
  5. Click on footage in the time line to view the recorded video footage.

NOTE: By default, motion and analytic events are classified as info events. If they are classified as warning or critical events, they will appear in the timeline with the corresponding color.

Troubleshooting

  1. Q: What do I do if I don't see any Eagle Eye video in my Brivo Access account?
    A: Log into Eagle Eye Networks and check if there is video in their system. If there is, then contact our support team to create a ticket.
  2. Q: What do I do if I don't see any OpenEye video in my Brivo Access account?
    A: Log into OpenEye and check if there is video in their system. If there is, then contact our support team to create a ticket.
