Uploading Firmware via USB

Prerequisites

ACS6000 or ACS300 control panel

USB flash drive can be no smaller than 8 GB and no larger than 16 GB

USB drive must use the FAT32 format

Upgrade Steps

  1. Download the firmware files provided by Brivo Support which will be sent in a .zip file.
  2. Unzip the files onto your local machine.
  3. Copy the firmware version that corresponds to your panel type (ACS300 or ACS6000) onto your USB flash drive.
  4. If using a V1 panel, power the control panel down and insert the USB flash drive. If using a V2 panel, you do not need to power down the control panel.
  5. If using a V1 panel, with the USB flash drive inserted, power the control panel back on and allow the firmware to install. If using a V2 panel, the firmware will automatically install when the USB flash drive is inserted.
  6. When the control panel beeps twice, remove the USB flash drive from the control panel and allow the panel to reboot.
  7. Verify your firmware upgrade was successful by checking in Brivo Access through the Account Config Tool or by logging into Partner Portal.
