What is Remote Access?

Overview

Remote Access is a new feature in Brivo Access that allows you to grant access to your dealer or Brivo Support to remotely log in to your account to provide support.

  • When an account is create the feature is enabled by default.
  • Existing accounts have the feature disabled by default.

Brivo administrators with Account Settings permissions are able to enable or disable this feature. When enabled, your dealer or Brivo Support will be able to remotely log in to your account, bypassing any SSO and Multi-factor Authentication requirements. When disabled, only Brivo administrators will be able to log in to your account.

Prerequisites

To enable the Remote Access feature, the following Administrator permissions are required:

  • View account settings
  • Update account settings

Steps to Managing Remote Access

  1. On the left navigation bar, navigate to the Configuration tab and select Account Settings.
  1. On the Account Settings page, either jump to the Settings section by clicking the tab on the left of scrolling down on the page.
  1. In the Settings section, you will see the Enable Remote Access setting. You can enable or disable the feature here. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
