Configure SSO in Brivo Access

Alicia Allen Updated by Alicia Allen

Overview

With Brivo's Single Sign On integration, customers can authenticate into Brivo Access using their third-party IAM platform. Using SSO improves account security and user experience, and reduces password fatigue.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have the following required elements:

  • An active Brivo Access account on Enterprise edition.
  • A third-party Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform that supports a SAML 2.0 SSO connection.

Steps to enable SSO in Brivo Access

  1. Log into your Brivo Access Enterprise account.
  2. Expand the Configuration option from the left side menu.
  3. Click on the Integrations tab.
  1. Select Single Sign On Connector (SSO) from the Available integrations.
  1. In the Details section, Brivo provides the URN and Callback URL required to set up the connection with your Identity Provider (IdP).
  1. Use the provided URN and Callback URL to complete creating the connection in your IdP.
  2. Once you've created the connection in your IdP, return to the SSO Integrations page in Brivo Access and scroll to the Configuration section.
    1. Enter a unique Connection Name. This must be unique across Brivo, so it is suggested that you use your domain.
    2. Enter the Identity Provider SSO URL, which is displayed in your IdP once the connection is configured.
    3. Enter the X.509 Certificate that is provided by your IdP.
    4. Select whether or not SSO should be required on your account. When set to yes, administrators on the account will not be able to log in via the Brivo Access login page. They must use SSO to authenticate.
    5. Click Save.
  1. Once your integration has been saved, you'll see the Login URL section. Use the displayed SSO URL to authenticate into Brivo Access going forward.
