Install WiFi on a gateway
Installing WiFi on a gateway
- Install the Brivo Smart Home Installer app for iOS or Android.
- Ensure that bluetooth is enabled on your iOS or Android device.
- Assuming your gateway is up to date, reboot your Gateway while keeping the Brivo Smart Home Installer app open. After the Gateway is fully rebooted, the Gateway/MEID should appear on the Brivo Smart Home Installer app within ten minutes.If your Gateway is not up to date, then you will need to unplug the gateway, remove the lid and put in a Bluetooth dongle. (This dongle can be removed once WiFi installation is completed). Once the Bluetooth dongle is in the gateway, plug the gateway back in.
- At this point, you need to select Gateway name from the Brivo Smart Home app.
- To connect your Gateway to your WiFi network, enter in the WiFi information manually on your mobile device.
- Unplug/reboot the Gateway and the WiFi information will still be retained.
